More heavy rain is set to lash parts of the UK in the coming days after thunderstorms hit many areas on Saturday. Further yellow weather warnings for rain have been issued by the Met Office for Sunday and Monday.

A complex of storms to our west should weaken as it heads in our direction. We could still see some showers and weak storms, especially across our western counties. Additional spotty thunderstorm development will be possible later today and this evening but there should be plenty of dry time.

A YELLOW weather warning is in place for thunderstorms and rain in Basingstoke. The Met Office issued the yellow warning, which is in place from today, Saturday, September 21, to Monday, September 23.
