Following internal concerns among Republicans, a North Shore GOP group will no longer host North Carolina GOP nominee for governor Mark Robinson.

The party is prohibited from selecting a replacement who already ran in the same race in this year’s primary. That means State Treasurer Dale Folwell and attorney Bill Graham would not be allowed to replace Robinson.

Democrats are trying to tie Republican candidates up and down the ballot to Robinson after Thursday’s CNN report.
