MIAMI-DADE, Fla. — Florida law enforcement is looking for answers after a human head was found washed up along the state's coast, reports say. A report from NBC 6 says the head was found just after 8:30 Tuesday morning on Key Biscayne when someone raking the beach discovered it near an apartment at Key Colony.

A human head washed ashore on a Key Biscayne beach on Tuesday morning, authorities say. At about 8:40 a.m. the Miami Dade Police Department arrived at 251 Crandon Blvd after receiving reports of a human head on the beach. Police say detectives are on the scene and are working with the Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the person.
