The International Cricket Council (ICC) announces record prize money of more than £6m for next month's Women's T20 World Cup.

The winners of the 2024 Women's T20 World Cup that begins on October 3 in the UAE will receive USD 2.34 million in prize money, an increase of 134% over the USD 1 million Australia were awarded for winning the tournament in 2023.

Dubai International Stadium will host 12 matches in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, including the final on 20 October. Its first matches will be on 4 October, with 2023 finalists, South Africa taking on 2016 champions West Indies before India take on New Zealand.
