The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear the RG Kar doctor rape and murder case today, at 10:30 am. The SC bench, led by CJI Chandrachud will take an update on the CBI probe into the matter.

The protesting junior doctors held a meeting on Tuesday to decide on their ongoing ‘cease work’ and protests demanding justice for the junior doctor, who was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital last month.

In contrast, the doctors have consistently sought live streaming of the meeting, as a means to bring transparency to the proceedings.

In their mail, the medics mentioned that they were open for a meeting anytime and anywhere, provided that the entire discussion must be streamed live, a doctor said.

Senior doctors of RG Kar medical College reiterated their demand for a live streaming of the meeting between them and the West Bengal government.
