The Scott County Canvassing Board will meet Wednesday afternoon to certify the election results, but a close race in House District 54a could trigger an automatic recount, and potentially determine which party controls the state House.

The county canvassing board has certified results from the Nov. 5 election and will hold a recount for the ultra-close House District 54A seat, but election officials are investigating a discrepancy in absentee ballots from one Shakopee precinct.
