The Ambassador Bridge is fully open again after an investigation stopped traffic going into Canada for almost five hours Saturday, police say.

Canada-bound traffic at the Ambassador Bridge was halted for several hours Saturday after a tragic incident involving a Canada Border Services Agency officer. In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, Windsor police said officers were on scene at the Ambassador Bridge for “an ongoing investigation.”

Police released few details of the death, but the customs union said it was a reminder of the need for mental health support.
