SRINAGAR (Dunya News) - The newly-elected Legislative Assembly of Jammu and Kashmir passed a resolution on Nov 6, calling for the restoration of the region’s constitutional rights and statehood.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah stated that the Union Territory government aims to convey its disapproval of the 2019 abrogation of Article 370 and 35(A). Abdullah emphasized that the decision was made without consulting local leaders and asserted the need for their voices to be heard through the Assembly's resolution.
