England's Matt Baldwin will take a two-shot lead into the third round of the BMW PGA Championship after a record-equalling display at Wentworth but Rory McIlroy is just four off the lead.

On Friday, the No. 363-ranked journeyman from England was the second-round leader by two strokes at the flagship event on the European tour and preparing himself for the biggest weekend of his career.

Rory McIlroy lost the club head on his 9-iron and then lost the lead by going out of bounds on the last hole in shooting an eventful 5-under 67 in the first round of the BMW PGA Championship.
