I'm sorry I haven't replied earlier. Yes, you stop at the Eielson Center on this tour! It is a rest stop to go to the rest room (which are inside) and check out the surrounding terrain from either inside or outside the Center building. The inside of the Center is very nice and has some interesting points about the park as well as a huge viewing window of the surrounding mountains!

No, we didn't stop at the Denali Hotel to pick up riders for the KT. There were two stops outside the park that the KT made, one at Denali Bluffs hotel at 6:30am. The bus had already picked up guests at another hotel previous to arriving at Denali Bluffs to pick us up. The KT may stop at the Denali Hotel, if previously arranged, but our bus didn't.
Wondering how many planned stops did you make? Was the extra 30 miles (over the TWT) worth it ie. more nature sightings? Did the driver stop and let people out if there was a wildlife sighting? Thanks

There are several planned stops and the driver stopped whenever the scenery warranted it. The extra distance is well worth it as you see so much more wildlife.
